Cockumentary Shooting Day 1

A project has finally begun that has taken over a year in the making.  About this time last year the idea for a movie that would a comical behind the scenes for a porno.  Unfortunately not too long ago Dimension films released Kevin Smith's newest comedy, "Zack and Miri Make a Porno," but before you go accusing of copyright infringement I can assure you that this is a completely different spin on a similar idea.
This week began with trying to rent equipment to use to shoot anything we could on Sunday Nov. 16th.  Mind you this is the 3rd or so attempt we've made at setting a date where we can get all the cast and crew in to shoot (and if success is having all the cast and crew in to shoot then we still failed this time).  But we got a camera and a tripod and some mics rented.  The first snag was that we didn't have any lighting kits available.    They say need is the mother of invention, and to that I say desperation is the mother of thinking outside of the box.  We solved our lighting problem by using a bunch of desk lamps.  Not the best way to light a set, but hey, it got the job done.
The second snag we hit was that we couldn't have everyone there at once, and most of those who could be there weren't too happy about starting as early in the day as we did. But once we got the ball rolling things really started to turn out great. We shot a bunch of interviews that shall be inter cut in the first episode (and possibly in later episodes), and we really started to take the characters from the script and put them into life.
With the long day of shooting finished we are now one step closer to releasing our first project together possibly under the guise of Bio-TOXIC Studios.  For all intents and purposes it is a Bio-TOXIC project, however it wasn't the vision that was originally had for the direction our production company would take with the works we were going to make.

Until next time...
